About Myself

I was born and raised in Bangladesh, spent my 20s doing Masters and PhD in Germany and moved to the United States as a EMBO postdoctoral fellow. As I aim for a transition into an independent academic role, I am dedicated to creating an environment that promotes equal opportunities for everyone from all backgrounds, both in the class and in the lab. As a neuroscientist of color, and having experience in both computational and wet lab expertise in brain research, I bring a unique perspective on inclusivity and belonging in academia and serve as a role model for first generation scientist in STEM.
